Privacy Policy

Zero Secret is a game played on a single phone set in the middle of the table. We built it to need as little data as possible: no account, no ads, no analytics.

Who is responsible for your data?

Deleting your data

To delete your Zero Secret data, there are two steps depending on where it is stored:

• Game data (names, answers, custom questions, guestbook, settings): in the app, Settings › “Erase all data”, or delete the app. It only exists on your phone and is erased immediately and permanently.
• Purchase data at RevenueCat (anonymous ID and purchase history): email hello@zerosecret.app with the subject “Delete my data”. If possible, include the order number from your Apple or Google receipt so we can find your purchases. We delete it within one month and confirm by email.
• What is kept: your purchase receipts stay with Apple or Google, who keep them for their legal obligations under their own policies. Your packs are not lost: “Restore purchases” finds them again through the store.
• Emails you sent us are deleted at the same time, on request.

What you enter in the game

To play, you enter first names, confessional answers and, in Wedding mode, personal questions, guestbook questions and notes, as well as a 4-digit exit code. The app also keeps your settings (sounds, vibrations) and the list of questions already played, so it doesn’t ask them again.

All of this information is stored only on your phone. It is sent to no one, neither to us nor to any third party, and is used only for the game. We have no access to it.

Game answers may touch on your love life. We never see them: they stay between you, on this phone.

On first launch, the app also keeps the date you accepted the terms and the version you accepted. Both stay on your phone, with no account, and are sent to no one. Your age is never stored.

What you choose to share

The podium and verdict images, the Bach Party text ranking and the wedding keepsake PDF only leave the app if you tap “Share” or “Print.” They then go through your phone’s share sheet to the app you choose (messaging, email, printer…), which applies its own privacy rules.

Your purchases

Pack payments are handled by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), with your store account and under their own privacy policies. We never receive your bank details, your name or your email address.

To know which packs you own and let you restore them on another device, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), which acts on our behalf. It receives:

• an anonymous identifier created by the app, which doesn’t reveal who you are;
• purchase information sent by the store: pack bought, date, price, currency, country, purchase receipt;
• technical information needed for the service: phone system and version, app version, IP address during exchanges.

Why and for how long

Purchase information is used only to provide the packs you bought and to restore them (performance of the sales contract). It is kept as long as the app is offered, then deleted or anonymized, subject to periods required by law (accounting).

As RevenueCat is located in the United States, the transfer of this information is covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses).

Data entered in the game stays on your phone until you erase it.

Unlocking with your phone

In Wedding mode, if the best man or maid of honor forgets the guestbook code, they can exit using the phone’s unlock (Face ID, fingerprint or passcode). This check is done by your phone’s system: the app only receives “succeeded” or “canceled,” never your fingerprint or your face.

When you write to us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, your message and any information you choose to include (app version, phone model). It is used only to reply to you and is deleted no later than two years after our last exchange.

No ads, no tracking

Zero Secret contains no ads, no analytics tool, no tracker and no crash-reporting tool. We do not sell or rent any data.

Minors

The app is for ages 16 and up: on first launch, you confirm you are 16 or older. It asks for neither your identity nor your age, and stores no age. The Spicy pack is for ages 18 and up: a check is shown at every game where it is selected.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data.

You manage game data yourself: “Erase all data” in Settings, or delete the app. For purchase information kept by RevenueCat, write to us at hello@zerosecret.app stating your request; we will reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Changes

If we change the way the app uses data, this policy will be updated and the date above changed. For any significant change, we will let you know in the app.
